About the Role
• Conduct 1:1 IBI/ABA sessions that follow the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct assessments, including but not limited to the Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), Assessment of Basic Living Skills (ABLS), Essentials for Living (EFL), or other assessments as required to gather comprehensive information on the Client's strengths, needs, and areas of focus.
• Follow behavior plans by implementing the strategies and interventions designed to address targeted behaviors and promote skill acquisition.
• Implement behavior reduction plans as necessary if clients engage in challenging behaviors, employing evidence-based techniques to promote positive behavior change and improve overall quality of life.
• Implement client-specific programming tailored to the unique needs and goals of everyone, ensuring interventions are aligned with the Client's treatment plan and objectives.
• Assist clients in achieving their goals by implementing effective strategies, closely monitoring progress, and making data-driven decisions to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with the Client's supervisor or the BCBA in cases where clients are not making expected progress, collaborating to identify barriers, adjust interventions, and develop alternative approaches as needed.
• Collect and graph data systematically to track client progress, identify trends, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions over time, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Work collaboratively with team members throughout the treatment process, including but not limited to fellow subcontractors, BCBA supervisors, parents/caregivers, and other professionals involved in the Client's care.
• Discuss goals and progress with parents/caregivers regularly, providing updates, sharing insights, and soliciting feedback to ensure a collaborative and client-centered approach to treatment.
• Follow the Ethical Code established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), upholding the highest standards of professional conduct, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions and decision-making processes.
• Always prioritize client safety, maintaining a safe and supportive environment during sessions, implementing appropriate safety protocols, and promptly addressing any concerns or incidents that may arise.
Qualifications
G License: Valid G driver's license.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or a related area.
